Feminist Book Club
Boston NOW's Feminist Book Club
This is our reading group for anybody who loves to read and identifies as a feminist.  We'll be reading a variety of books that may fall into one of the following categories:
  1. Written by a feminist and/or a woman.
  2. Look at how gender, race, class, sexuality, ability/disability, ethnicity, nationality, etc shape us and our views of the world.
  3. Spark conversation about social justice and gender equality.
  4. Have strong female characters.

But most importantly it's a space for people to come together and discuss literature with other feminists!

The club is open to both NOW members and non-members.

All meetings will be on the first Thursday of alternating months.  Check back here to see upcoming dates and books.

Join our Goodreads group to keep track of books and communicate with other members.

Date:    Thursday, April 8, 2010
Time:    6:00 - 8:30 pm
Where: Community Change - 14 Beacon St. #605 - Boston

We will be discussing the Wally Lamb book "She's Come Undone" and plan to view and discuss the film "Real Women Have Curves". We've invited NOMAS to attend and hope to see some new faces at our next Boston NOW book discussion!
