Felix Arroyo, City Council At-Large
Greater Boston NOW PAC wholeheartedly endorses Felix Arroyo with the knowledge that he will bring his passion and activist skills to the Boston City Council. Felix has been and continues to be an educator, organizer, activist, preacher, husband, father, and grandfather. Felix is committed to a philosophy of justice and respect for all people and works to make public policies that reflect this philosophy. With particular ties to the Latino community of Boston, Felix is reaching out to many constituencies who are looking for their city to better and more equitably serve its residents.
Felix has years of experience with key development issues facing our communities. An advocate for affordable housing, he will work with residents from Fenway and Chinatown to Mattapan and East Boston to bring their voice to decisions being made about their neighborhoods. He also supports efforts to increase home ownership through initiatives such as a citywide fund that will facilitate down payments for low-income people. As a City Councilor, Felix seeks to expand funding and publicity to increase access to and replicate the many effective community-based programs that exist within the city. Felix also advocates for increased community input in the city's budget priorities. NOW is excited to work to elect this dedicated activist and creative thinker.
